City of St. Albert Breaks Ground on Fire Station No.4

City of St. Albert makes way for Fire Station No. 4 located in the northeast end of the city.

City Council, St. Albert Fire Services, and design and build partners on the project gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new facility that will be key in providing emergency services to St. Albert and enhancing response times across the community. The facility is located off St. Albert Trail and Neil Ross Road.

“Community safety is a top priority, and it’s the City’s responsibility to invest in assets and resources to ensure our first responders have the ability to serve our growing community,” says Mayor Scott Olivieri. “This location will position and equip our firefighter/paramedics with the tools and space to meet and enhance continued emergency response needs.”

The two-storey fire station will include two double deep bays for fire apparatus, accommodation for firefighter/paramedics including dorms, a kitchen, fitness area, decontamination room and future administration space. It will also be the City’s first building built to a Green Globes certification, demonstrating continued commitment to environmental sustainability as well as occupant wellness and resilience.

Fire Station No.4 is expected to open in 2028.
