City of St. Albert to give the gift of warmth this holiday season

Giving Trees are back at Servus Credit Union Place and Fountain Park Recreation Centre

The City of St. Albert’s Recreation and Parks department is proud to give back to our community by once again hosting its annual holiday donation drive initiative.

Giving Trees are set up at Servus Credit Union Place and Fountain Park Recreation Centre, ready to be decorated with donations of new winter wear items such as socks, scarves, hats and mittens. Last year, 577 items were collected as part of this initiative.

Staff will be decorating the Giving Tree at Servus Place with the donated items on the following day:

When: Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Servus Credit Union Place 400 Campbell Rd, St. Albert, AB
Who: Public and media are invited to attend
On-site: Jack Ballash (Manager, Servus Place) will be on-site for more information

At the completion of the campaign, all donations will be delivered to the St. Albert Community Village, where individuals and families in need can receive these much-needed winter items. Residents and businesses within St. Albert are encouraged to join us in giving the gift of warmth to those in need this holiday season. City of St. Albert Recreation and Parks staff are currently accepting the donations in drop-off bins located in front of guest services at both facilities.
