Intergenerational Community Quilt on Display at St. Albert Place Through June
From now until the end of the month, join the City in celebrating a new Intergenerational Community Quilt display on the main floor of St. Albert Place.
Between October 2024 and May 2025, the City worked in partnership with Hugs ‘n’ Stitches St. Albert quilters to facilitate intergenerational connections and conversations. This collective piece of art signifies a mosaic of experiences and commitments to combat ageism together. Ageism refers to how we think, feel and act towards others or ourselves based on age.
Approximately 180 people joined the discussion on ageism and more than 90 quilt squares were collected.
The quilt will be displayed on the first floor of St. Albert Place for the month of June.
