St. Albert Compost Depot Change

New hours of operation effective July 1, 2020

The City of St. Albert operates a seasonal Compost Depot from April through October for residents to drop off yard waste – including leaves, branches, soil, sod and other landscaping materials – in a convenient and environmentally-friendly way.

Effective July 1, the depot’s new hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., closed on Monday and statutory holidays. Previously, the facility was open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

The Compost Depot is only available for use by residents of St. Albert – proof of residency may be required. Non-residents and commercial vehicles will be turned away by on-site staff.

The City of St. Albert Compost Depot is located on Villeneuve Road, between Ray Gibbon Drive and Hogan Road.
