Council Holds Strategic Planning Session
No changes to 2018-2021 Council Strategic Plan
From January 10 to 11, St. Albert City Council held a strategic planning session to review progress on their 2018 to 2021 Strategic Plan. There was some great discussion on all the priorities with a focus on how to continue to make advances on achieving the plan’s goals.
“This year’s retreat was a great opportunity for Council to reflect on the work to date and determine if we are on the right path,” says Mayor Cathy Heron. “The work done over the past two days affirms the work done in 2018 to create a four-year vision for this Council to advance key priorities identified by the community.”
Council discussed all six priorities and determined that no additions or changes are required to the plan for this year. Discussion focused on how to make further advances to the existing priorities while maintaining the high level of service in core service areas.
Presentations were made to Council by Administration on the status of all the activities from the Corporate Business Plan with general consensus that the progress to date is positive and that Administration is moving in the right direction.
