COVID-19 Recovery Task Force Meeting Update

Meeting held on September 22, 2020

Members of the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force met on September 22, 2020 to discuss how the committee will support St. Albert’s economic and social resiliency from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting focused on identifying additional recommendations and goals to prepare the Task Force’s initial report later this fall. The Task Force’s vision is to act as a catalyst for economic and social resiliency by supporting innovative approaches that enhance community connection and sustainability towards a future where all St. Albert residents and businesses can thrive.

“It’s exciting to come together as a community and further our mandate through this task force,” says Mayor Cathy Heron. She adds, “We’re getting closer to finalizing recommendations and goals that focus on helping the city recover from economic and business impacts, including the human impacts that have affected our residents and business owners.”

The Recovery Task Force is a 10-member committee, which includes a cross-section of business and community leaders, who will make recommendations to Council.

The next meeting of the Recovery Task Force is scheduled to take place on September 30, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m.
