COVID-19 Recovery Task Force Meeting Update
Meeting held on November 10, 2020
Members of the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force met on November 10, 2020 to discuss how the committee will support St. Albert’s economic and social recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting was a quick update regarding the Task Force’s interim report, and discussion regarding the group’s update to St. Albert Council on November 30, 2020.
“The Task Force is keeping the St. Albert community top of mind as we’ve started conversations about how to be community ambassadors for our recovery,” says Mayor Heron. She adds, “The Recovery Task Force is working towards addressing challenges and how our city will approach recovery.”
The Recovery Task Force is looking for input from St. Albertans to share their ideas about how to support recovery efforts from the pandemic which will inform the group’s work moving forward. St. Albertans can participate using the City’s new online engagement platform called Cultivate the Conversation. From now until November 30, residents can participate by visiting conversation.stalbert.ca/covid-recovery-task-force.
The Recovery Task Force is a 10-member committee, which includes a cross-section of business and community leaders, who will make recommendations to Council.
The next meeting of the Recovery Task Force is scheduled to take place on December 9, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
