Covid-19 Recovery Task Force Meeting Update
Members of the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force met virtually on December 9, 2020 to discuss how the committee will support St. Albert’s economic and social recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting focused on how to end the year, and start the new year, strong despite being in the middle of a pandemic and the response phase. The Recovery Task Force reviewed which potential new strategies to focus on in 2021, and each one’s priority. The Task Force started the conversation on how they would continue planning for implementation into 2021, including feedback recently received from the community through the survey on Cultivate the Conversation.
“I am grateful to the Task Force for their commitment to date and their efforts to support the City’s economic and social recovery,” says Councillor Hansen. She adds, “I look forward to continuing the work on this important initiative for our community.”
The Recovery Task Force is a 10-member committee, which includes a cross-section of business and community leaders, who will make recommendations to Council. The Task Force’s Interim Report will be presented to St. Albert City Council on December 21, 2020.
The next meeting of the Recovery Task Force is scheduled to take place in January 2021.
