The City of St. Albert is the proud recipient of the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2023 Annual Report. This is the 23rd consecutive year the City of St. Albert has received this award for its annual financial report. 

The City’s 2023 Annual Report was judged by an impartial Canadian Review Committee to ensure it met the high standards of the program. The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting Program was established to encourage municipal governments throughout Canada to publish high-quality financial reports and to provide peer recognition and technical guidance for officials preparing these reports. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

“This award showcases the City’s dedication in serving our community through communicating our financial picture clearly and ensuring transparent financial reporting year-after-year,” says Mayor Cathy Heron. “Congratulations to our leadership and Financial and Strategic Services teams on achieving these high standards for financial reporting once again.”
