Honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Join us for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at Mission Park on Wednesday, September 30 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Honour the survivors of and the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as their families and communities.  

Admission to this event is free and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The event will include guest speakers, knowledge keepers, performers, artisans, exhibits, food vendors and an Honour Walk from Mission Park to Kâkesimokamik/The Healing Garden. 

The City of St. Albert is pleased to announce that the Hear Our Voices: Michel People and Residential Schools exhibit will be open to the public alongside this event. The Friends of Michel Society, in collaboration with the Musée Héritage Museum and the City of St. Albert present this exhibit at the Little White School. Michel People share their stories as direct Survivors and intergenerational Survivors of Residential Schools.
