Regional Collaboration Continued Focus for St. Albert Transit

St. Albert continues to believe that collaborative, regional transit partnerships are the key to enhanced transit service for St. Albert and the Edmonton Metropolitan Region in the future.

“It’s important that we continue to provide integrated transit with our regional partners,” says Mayor Cathy Heron. “While I was heartbroken with Edmonton’s decision to cancel funding for the Edmonton Metropolitan Transit Services Commission, we can’t let this setback deter us. Regional transit is an important factor for major investment within the region as well as ensuring greater connections between communities to improve labour mobility.”

“Transit is a vital public service that needs to remain our priority,” says Mayor Heron. “I want to reassure residents that our service remains uninterrupted, and we remain committed to providing optimal, affordable and accessible service through St. Albert Transit to our customers.”
