Date & Time: November 7 │ 2 to 4 p.m.

Location: Christ Community Church, 25230 TWP Rd 542, Sturgeon County. The church is just outside the St. Albert boundary at the corner of Coal Mine Road, north of Bellerose Drive.

  • Learn about the annexation process and its history to date.
  • Understand what work will be completed.
  • Talk to and ask questions of City of St. Albert staff and members of the Consulting Team.
  • Fill out a survey to share your thoughts on the potential annexation. The survey will be available at the open houses and from Nov.6 to 30 on the City website.

Annexation is a process that adjusts the boundary between two municipalities. In this instance, it’s about land currently governed by Sturgeon County being transferred to the jurisdiction of the City of St. Albert. Annexation does not change the private ownership of the land. The maximum potential annexation area is approximately 2,180 hectares; however, as the project progresses, the overall area considered for annexation may decrease.

For further information on the annexation process, including a map of the potential annexation area, or to subscribe to the annexation newsletter, visit the City of St. Albert website at stalbert.ca/annexation-sturgeon
