Update on the City of St. Albert's Response to COVID-19

Update for April 5, 2020

The City of St. Albert is taking a thoughtful and measured approach to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community. In an effort to keep residents and visitors informed, below is a summary of some current information to be aware of. 

Online Town Hall - Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. 

Residents are encouraged to join Mayor Cathy Heron, Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Scoble, and the Director of Emergency Management, Percy Janke for a virtual Town Hall on Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. 

Residents can participate in three different ways: 

Partcipants using Zoom will be able to ask questions during the Town Hall. Those participating by phone or by watching the feed will not be able to submit questions during the Town Hall. 

Participants can submit questions in advance by email at zoom@stalbert.ca or by phone at 780-459-1500 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. While everyone’s questions are important, we will not be able to address them all during the Town Hall. We will do our best to get answers to your questions over the coming weeks at stalbert.ca/COVID19

Residents who participate using Zoom can do so from either their smartphone or home computer and may be prompted to download the free app before they can participate. 

We recommend that Zoom users enter the Town Hall a few minutes early, as it may take a few minutes for Zoom to load. 

Pre-registration is NOT required. You can join the Town Hall anytime within the hour. 

We are conducting this Town Hall virtually to maintain physical distancing and to comply with Provincial regulations regarding public gatherings. We are using the Zoom platform to better connect with residents during this unprecedented time.

Closures to City facilities

No new closures as of April 5, 2020. 

Suspension of City programs or services 

No new suspensions as of April 5, 2020. 

City services still open/operating 

Unless listed on the facility closures or listed above, all City services are still available for access by phone, email or online. 

Cancellation of City events 

No new cancellations as of April 5, 2020
