Update for November 24, 2020
The City of St. Albert continues to take a thoughtful and measured approach in its response to COVID-19. Unless listed on the facility closures, all City services are still available for access by phone, email or online.
Due to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, the information in this release is considered current as of the date of distribution.
At a news conference on November 24, the Government of Alberta announced a state of public health emergency, along with new, enhanced provincial measures to help prevent the spread of the virus. These measures are effective immediately, except for business and service restrictions, which are effective as of November 27.
Within St. Albert, the enhanced measures impact social gathering numbers, places of worship, businesses and schools. For the City of St. Albert, this will affect some of our municipal recreation and culture services, amenities and events. The City is reviewing the new public health measures and seeking clarity on some of the details. Once we have a better understanding of how the measures will affect City services, amenities and events, we will provide updated information on the City website at stalbert.ca/covid19.
