Seniors and Elders Service Award Program Now Accepting Nominees
Seniors and Elders make an extraordinary difference every day in St. Albert. Last year, the City of St. Albert celebrated the valuable contributions of 11 individuals who provide compassion, champion causes and create meaningful connections in St. Albert. We know there are many more amazing people who we need to recognize.
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Seniors and Elders Service Award Program. Residents or organizations can nominate individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Nominees must reside in St. Albert or have made a significant impact in St. Albert within the last five years.
- Nominees should be recommended based on their extraordinary service or contribution to the city as a senior or for the benefit of seniors, which service or contribution is recognized as being remarkable, going ‘above and beyond’, and a significant dedication of time and talents. This could be through formal volunteering with an organization and/or service or informal contributions in the community.
- Nominees must be 55 years or older or have served seniors/elders in St. Albert.
If you know a St. Albert senior or elder who makes an extraordinary difference in the community or someone who should be recognized for their contributions with seniors in St. Albert, nominate them today!
Nominations are now being accepted in person at St. Albert Place or online until March 1, 2026.
The Seniors Advisory Committee will recommend successful applicants to Council in the spring.
Council will formally acknowledge the recipients by name and with a token of recognition in June.
