St. Albert Celebrates Canada Day
After two years of adaptive programming, the City of St. Albert is excited to once again host an in-person Canada Day event on July 1!
The community is invited to celebrate their appreciation of our country with family, friends and neighbours while enjoying a full day of free activities and fun.
This year’s event will take place in new locations at St. Albert Place and in Lions Park. Details of the festivities include:
- Noon to 4 p.m.
- Family activities around St. Albert Place (5 St. Anne Street) and Lions Park (21 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue), including a free concert featuring various local acts, face painting, games, food trucks, and much more!
- Event-goers are encouraged to bring a donation for the St. Albert Food Bank. Free Park and Ride services are available from 11:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nakî Transit Centre (15520 Campbell Road).
- 6 p.m. & 8:30 p.m.
- Two outdoor movie showings of Encanto presented by Coca-Cola in the front plaza of St. Albert Place (5 St. Anne Street.). Parking is not available to watch from a vehicle; instead, the public is asked to bring their own chairs, blankets, etc. Movie snacks will be available from the on-site food trucks.
- 11 p.m.
- Fireworks display presented by the Kinsmen Club of St. Albert at Meadowview Ball Diamonds. The fireworks site is closed to the public, but multiple viewing location recommendations can be found on the City website.
