St. Albert Celebrates Small Business Week

The City of St. Albert is proud to offer local entrepreneurs and business owners a free webinar series during Small Business Week from October 19 to 25, 2020.

The webinar series features experts talking about their successes and sharing real-life examples to help business owners make better business decisions and achieve their business goals.

“The City is focused on supporting St. Albert businesses during this economic recovery,” said Mayor Cathy Heron. “Small businesses are vital to our city’s and the Canadian economy. We want to offer business owners the tools and strategies they need to navigate forward, and these webinars play an important part in sharing that information.”

This year’s Small Business Week events include:

Registration for the webinars is free. Event organizers recommend that people register in advance as there is a limited number of spots available in the virtual meeting space.

“We are continuously looking for ways to improve service for businesses and moving the seminars online was one way we could do that,” said Heron. “As well, the City has an online hub for information called Doing Business Here that has a wealth of resources for business owners.”

Each year the City of St. Albert participates in Small Business Week to pay tribute to the contributions that small businesses make to our economy. This year, the City of St. Albert has partnered with the St. Albert Chamber of Commerce, the Business Development Bank of Canada and the Government of Alberta to host this series of webinars to help small businesses in our community.
