City of St. Albert Announces Recipients of Philanthropy Award

John and Terri Farlinger Honoured for Outstanding Contributions

The City of St. Albert is pleased to announce that John and Terri Farlinger are the recipients of the 2018 St. Albert Philanthropy Award.

“John and Terri epitomize St. Albert’s vibrant community spirit,” says Mayor Cathy Heron. “They have selflessly given of their time, talent and treasure to support a wide range of organizations and initiatives, helping to make our city the wonderful place we all know and love.”

The St. Albert Philanthropy Award recognizes honourees for their exceptional generosity in terms of financial support or gifts in kind that help deepen our spirit of community. The Farlingers are a true reflection of that generosity and giving.

John and Terri have supported countless initiatives and causes over the years, some of which include: founding member and supporter of T8N100MenWhoCare, a local charitable club; co-chairs of the Raise the Roof Fund Campaign for Holy Family Parish in St. Albert; founding member and supporter of St. Albert Victim Services; supporters of St. Albert Chamber Music Society, Stop Abuse in Families Society, St. Albert Housing Society, and St. Albert Seniors Association, to name a few.

The award will be presented to John and Terri during a special ceremony in December 2018.
