City invites you to stay active and healthy this holiday season

The holidays are approaching fast and if your wish list includes doing something for yourself or finding a way to keep your kids busy and active over the break, the City of St. Albert is here for you and can help you cross items off your list!

From swimming to sports and cooking to crafts, you can register your child now for a variety of winter camp options to keep them busy over the holiday break:

  • Winter Break Chef Senior is geared towards kids who have some experience in the kitchen and want to develop their cooking skills.
  • Winter Break Holiday Active Junior is for a child who is all about playing games and sports, using their imagination to build and create, and being active all day long!
  • Winter Break Holiday Active Senior campers will play active games, build mind-bending structures and circuits, make waves swimming at the Landrex Water Play Centre, and team up to play classic TV game shows.
  • Winter Break Holiday Fun Days are available if you only require a few kid-free hours over the holidays. Your kids will engage in active games, create wintery crafts, and play in the Ron Hodgson Children's Playground.

If you’re looking for other low-cost or no-cost activities this holiday season to feel better and have fun, embrace winter with a new activity!

  • Take Fido out for a snowy walk along our Red Willow Trail System. The trails are cleared throughout the winter, so they can be enjoyed all season long!
  • Gather your friends together for a game of hockey or practice your twirls and jumps on one of our outdoor ice surfaces.
  • Keep warm inside at Servus Credit Union Place with activities like drop-in holiday-themed fitness classes, winter break camps, and recreational activities in the courts, field houses, and rinks.
  • Hang out where the humidity is most welcome and enjoy leisure or lane swimming, sauna, steam rooms, and hot tubs in the Landrex Water Play Centre at Servus Place or the St. Albert Dodge Leisure Pool at Fountain Park Recreation Centre.

Don’t forget to check out all of our recreation and fitness options!
