City Deploys Resources to Support Slave Lake Community Impacted by Wildfires

On Monday, June 2, 2025, St. Albert Fire Services deployed a tactical water tanker, a Lieutenant and firefighter to the Slave Lake area to assist with wildfires at the request of the Government of Alberta’s Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA).

The two firefighters left at 9 a.m. this morning for a seven-day rotation after receiving the request on Sunday, June 1.

Sufficient resources remain in place should any be needed in the community of St. Albert.
