Youth in Action Hosts Anti-Racism Conference

Join youth development program Youth in Action at a one-day anti-racism conference, where attendees will learn how they can support one another to address racism and oppression, and to recognize it when it occurs.

The morning will feature a reflective session presented by John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, followed by a powerful Blanket Exercise facilitated by Musée Héritage Museum after lunch.

Using active and experiential learning approaches, participants will unpack the ideas that society uses to think about race and racism and gain perspective on diverse experiences, abilities and capacities.

The conference is open to youth in grades 9 to 12 and is free to attend.
