April 24 to Dec.30 – Sturgeon Road - #40 to #50

There will be a temporary road closure from #40 Sturgeon Road to #50 Sturgeon Road due to Project 9 construction and the installation of a shaft that will be used to launch tunneling equipment and pipes.

May 1 to August 31 - Portions of Rivercrest Crescent 

Portions of Rivercrest Crescent will be closed due to Project 9 construction, which includes the relocation of a waterline, sewer pipe installation and road restoration.

  • St. Albert Transit is temporarily relocating St. Albert Centre Exchange to Muir Drive. For detailed information, visit ridestat.ca.

May 23 - Oct.4 - Temporary Road Closures – Grandin

There will be temporary road closures occurring in Grandin due to the sanitary upgrades that are occurring in the neighbourhood. Construction will be phased to minimize disruption to residents. All dates are weather-dependent.

  • Stage 1 - Riel Drive - east of Rayborn Crescent and west of Gresham Boulevard
    • Completed
  • Stage 2A – Sir Winston Churchill Avenue to the first intersection in Glenhaven
    • Completion anticipated on Aug.4
  • Stage 2B – #69 Glenhaven to #83 Glenhaven
    • July 28 - Aug.14
  • Stage 2C – #83 Glenhaven to #95 Glenhaven
    • Aug.7 - 21
  • Stage 3 – Glenhaven to Grenfell
    • Aug.15 - Sept.1

Road surfacing will occur on the following dates:

  • Glenhaven (overlay work) – Aug.15 - Sept.20
  • Grandin/Grosvenor (overlay work) – Sept.18 - Oct.4

June 25 – July 28 – Westbound Lane Closure – St. Thomas Street from Perron to St. Joseph

Due to construction of the Perron Street Storm Sewer, the westbound lane of St. Thomas Street from Perron Street to St. Joseph Street will be closed from June 25 to July 28 (weather permitting). The closure is required to install the new pipe. The alleyway to St. Thomas is now open; however, it is only accessible via the parking lot.
