Riverside Park Master Plan

About the Project

The neighbourhood of Riverside, situated on the northwest side of St. Albert, is a growing community that will have access to City of St. Albert parks and the Red Willow Park Trail System. The City is currently developing a parks master plan for the various parks within Riverside to ensure future parks meet the needs of residents and continue to provide quality of life for all.

Public Participation

Park Planning Open House

An open house took place on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, and residents were able to provide feedback on the Riverside Park Master Plan, which included concept plans for future park locations within Riverside. At the open house, residents could also give feedback on the Red Willow Park Master Plan, and the BLESS Platform.

Online Survey

An online survey was made available from June 6 - 21, 2018, for residents who were unable to attend the Park Planning Open House on June 6. Through the survey, residents could view the concept plans for the Riverside Park Master Plan and give feedback.

2020 Update

The Area Structure Plan (ASP) for the Riverside neighbourhood was amended in March 2020, therefore the Riverside Parks Master Plan needs to be updated.

We invite your feedback on the proposed changes to the Riverside Parks Master Plan including modifications to the planned park spaces and the development of a new community park. Residents are invited to join an online presentation about concept plan options and to ask the project team questions. To pre-register, visit Riverside Parks Planning.

A survey, along with the revised concept plan options, will be available from November 24 to December 8, 2020 at Riverside Parks Planning.

The information from this phase will guide the selection and final details of the master plan updates. The results and final concept plan will be shared in January 2021.
