Sturgeon County Land Annexation
The annexation negotiation process between the City of St. Albert and Sturgeon County has concluded, and the negotiated annexation agreement was approved by each municipality’s Council in September 2020.
The City is now providing informational opportunities for the public to learn about the negotiation process outcomes.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all remaining public participation sessions will only be offered virtually. However, those without access to reliable high-speed internet or who are not comfortable participating in virtual events can contact the City at 780-459-1769 to speak with an annexation team representative on the phone.
The information being shared through the upcoming public participation opportunities will include details about future taxation, issues related to transitioning from the County to the City and general details about the application process with the Municipal Government Board (MGB).
