Spotlight on Business: FUNctional Therapy Inc.

Creating a barrier free environment was top of mind for FUNctional Therapy Inc when setting up their location at 28 Mission Ave in St. Albert. FUNctional Therapy Inc. provides a place for families in the community to discover stories of possibility. The renovated space has been retrofitted with several accessibility features throughout the building from lifts, ramps, and wheelchair accessible hallways and bathrooms.

 FUNctional Therapy Inc. provides access to physical, mental, social and emotional supports making life more fun and joyful. Their approach is uniquely designed for children in their home, school, community, and functional place.

With a growing clientele and an expanding team of diverse professionals they needed more space and St. Albert was the ideal location. “There was a need for families in the community to access supports all in one location” Melanie Harris, Director of FUNctional Therapy Inc, said. “Many of our clients and staff are local, and our hearts are connected to this area”.

The future looks bright here for FUNctional Therapy Inc as Melanie stated “we are excited to grow and be part of the city and the community.” Melanie welcomes members of the community to visit their facility and meet the team.
