Spotlight on Business: OMG! Cupcakes

Early bird gets the cupcake! Baked daily from scratch, these delicious treats go quickly since their opening in St. Albert on January 31st of 2023. OMG! Cupcakes offers up to 20 unique cupcake flavors daily including gluten friendly, dairy free, sugar free and vegan options, so everyone can enjoy! You can also shop for a variety of cookies and cakes for any occasion. Items are baked fresh daily, so getting in early ensures the best selection if you are dropping in, and pre-orders are available on their website as well. Some crowd pleasers are their OMG! signature cupcake, carrot, banana split, cookies cream and red velvet, but with new flavours every day, there is something new to try and something for everyone.

Chelsea & Lee Swaile purchased OMG! Cupcakes in 2017 in Grande Prairie and decided to open a new location in St. Albert. Lee explains why they chose to set up shop here: “We were looking for a community that fit the needs of our family, with friendly people who see value in what we offer. Not only do we have our business here we are also residents. We absolutely love St. Albert and could not be happier to be apart of the community. If we personally aren't at the store or Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club we are at the farmers market every Saturday when it's on”.

A big supporter of supporting local, Chelsea and Lee support other local businesses as they grow “We had our website redone by Kre8tive, purchased our famous pink flooring materials from Powercoat and our trades that completed our store construction came from Morinville (Quinn's plumbing and Delray Electric)” Lee shares.
Their team is growing with Chelsea leading four full time staff, and one part time employee. They are currently looking to fill roles of Store Manager, Assistant Manager and future positions as demand grows.
