Lakeview Business District Servicing

About this Project

Recognized as Council's top priority, Lakeview Business District spans more than 600 acres and is set to become a key industrial hub in the metro Edmonton region. Its strategic location near major interprovincial transportation networks and Trade Corridors, along with access to the Edmonton CN intermodal terminal, and proximity to the natural amenities of Big Lake and Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park, bring assets that enhance its appeal for industrial development. It is adjacent to some of the fastest-growing residential communities in the area, which will greatly benefit employers of the district, positioned for economic growth and set to become a major employment hub anticipated to bring an estimated 5,000 jobs.

The City’s Lakeview Business District Servicing project will extend services into the Lakeview Business District, allowing for a lower cost of entry for developers to develop this area. The services being brought in include transportation, sanitary, storm, and water infrastructure.
