Oakmont Trail

About this Project

The Oakmont Trail seeks to connect the Blais Pedestrian Bridge to Boudreau Road along the north side of the Sturgeon River Valley, through a multi-use trail system. This system connects to the existing trail and will be constructed as a combination of paved multi-use trail, a wooden decked bridge and boardwalk leading to a set of wooden stairs.

Work to include:

  • Excavation of trail area
  • Building of trail structure and pavements
  • Construction of concrete abutments for the bridge structure
  • Installation of the bridge
  • Installation of piles for the boardwalk and stairs
  • Construction of the boardwalk and stairs
  • Planting of naturalized planting beds and restoration of any areas disturbed by construction activities.

Potential Construction Impacts

Nearby residents can expect some noise from construction activities.

Detours and road closures are not expected; however, residents can expect periods of increased construction-related traffic for the duration of the project.
