Oakmont Trail
About this Project
The Oakmont Trail seeks to connect the Blais Pedestrian Bridge to Boudreau Road along the north side of the Sturgeon River Valley, through a multi-use trail system. This system connects to the existing trail and will be constructed as a combination of paved multi-use trail, a wooden decked bridge and boardwalk leading to a set of wooden stairs.
Partial Trail Open: Please be advised that the east portion of Oakmont trail is now open from the Blais Bridge to the trail beside 84PUL Orchard Court. The rest of the trail, including the new pedestrian bridge will remain closed until construction is complete in 2026. We thank you for your patience as we complete this work to our trail system.

Work to include:
- Excavation of trail area
- Building of trail structure and pavements
- Construction of concrete abutments for the bridge structure
- Installation of the bridge
- Installation of piles for the boardwalk and stairs
- Construction of the boardwalk and stairs
- Planting of naturalized planting beds and restoration of any areas disturbed by construction activities.
