Park Signage Construction

About the Project

The City has developed new identification signage for St. Albert’s parks and trails systems that will enhance wayfinding, safety, and provide more information on park amenities to all users.

New features:

  • Park amenities symbols such as washrooms, playgrounds, picnic tables, skating etc.
  • Park hours listed
  • Identification of the park as being either on-leash or if it contains an off-leash area.
  • New for 2019 - as well as new park signs, eight of the City's stormwater management facilities (SWMF) will also be receiving educational signage that matches the park signage format.

The new signage replaces the out-of-date, deteriorated and inconsistent park signage found throughout St. Albert. As well, many parks didn’t have signage at all.

Timeline

To date, 104 parks throughout St. Albert have received new signage. The City anticipates installing additional park signage between June and September 2019.
