Road Repair
Occurring throughout a road’s lifecycle
Pothole Filling/Patching/Spray Injection
- Repair methods that are used annually to patch holes or seal large cracks to prevent further deterioration of the road.
- Several methods can be used including cold mix in low temperatures to infrared technology.
- Spray patching injects very fine aggregate with bitumen into large cracks. This method is used for larger cracks that can’t be targeted with crack sealing.
- The City maintains roads between major treatments like preservation and rehabilitation. This is a cost-effective option, usually 5% or less than the cost of resurfacing.
