Oakmont Reservoir & Pumpstation Improvements

About the Project

The Oakmont Reservoir and Pump Station Upgrade Project is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to ensuring reliable water service for a growing population.
In 2014, Associated Engineering (AE) completed a pre-design report outlining the condition of the existing Oakmont Reservoir and Pump Station. The report included a detailed assessment of the facility’s components, identified operational deficiencies, and recommended upgrades needed to enhance capacity and performance.

In 2024, AE finalized the detailed design for the necessary improvements. Sure-Form Contracting has been selected to carry out the construction work.
Construction is scheduled in two phases:

Phase 1 (Summer–Fall 2025): Civil upgrades and initial electrical work.
Phase 2 (Starting January 2026): Major upgrades inside the facility, including mechanical and electrical systems.

These improvements will ensure the facility meets current and future water supply demands while enhancing system reliability and performance.

Civil upgrades: parking lot and retaining wall.
Structural Upgrades.
Process Mechanical Upgrades.
Electrical Upgrades.
Commissioning of new electrical equipment for Booster Station.
Instrumentation & Controls Upgrades.
Building Mechanical Upgrades.

Potential Construction Impacts

To minimize disruption to the community, all construction activities will take place during standard working hours.

Residents should be aware of the following potential impacts throughout the project:

Temporary road closures may be required to facilitate construction deliveries.
Increased construction traffic may be present in the area at times.
Elevated noise levels from construction equipment and activities should be expected.
