Riel and Gardens Sewer and Water Rehabilitation
About the Project
The City is replacing underground water and sanitary sewer infrastructure in the areas of Sir Winston Churchill Avenue and Riel Drive to address capacity and age of the existing system.
Work to include:
- Removal and replacement of existing sanitary sewer mains
- Removal and replacement of existing watermains
- Installation of new manholes
- Restoration of areas disturbed
Potential Construction Impacts
During construction activities, residents can anticipate the following impacts:
- Local traffic disruptions
- Possible trail closures
- Noise from construction equipment
- Short-term service disruption to adjacent businesses
Project Timeline
Construction is anticipated to take place from June to October 2026.
