Infrastructure and Capital Planning

The City of St. Albert owns and operates infrastructure assets in the following categories: buildings, roads, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, sidewalks, water distribution network, Transit & Public Works equipment, parks, bridges, traffic signals, lift stations and pump stations & reservoirs.

The Infrastructure and Capital Planning Branch understands that a thorough knowledge and understanding of these assets are required to properly manage them. Proper management will ensure the "right money is spent on the right asset at the right time." The Branch also plans projects on existing infrastructure assets and projects related to future expansion in the City of St. Albert.
