LeClair Way West

LeClair Way currently exists from Ray Gibbon Drive, heading east and tying into 137 Avenue in the City of Edmonton; however, LeClair Way is also planned to eventually continue west of Ray Gibbon Drive, heading southwest into the City of Edmonton.

For the City of St. Albert, the extension of LeClair Way will provide permanent access to Lois Hole Provincial Park and future development lands west of Ray Gibbon Drive, north of 137 Avenue, and south/east of LeClair Way. For the City of Edmonton, it will provide an important roadway connection for both existing and future residents in Northwest Edmonton (i.e. Trumpeter, Starling, Hawks Ridge, etc.).

Within St. Albert, the City has developed concept plans for the LeClair Way west extension. Prior to construction, the City will undertake design work to confirm and finalize the recommended improvement, considering environmental and geotechnical opportunities/constraints, and any new information that has arisen since the concept plans were developed.

The timing of construction is unknown; however, it is envisioned that it will occur within the next 10 years.
