Effective January 1, 2026, the Planning and Development Department will begin applying a non-refundable credit card processing fee of 2.25% to all payments made by credit card. To avoid this fee, payment may made by debit card, cash, or cheque.

The City of St. Albert Land Use Bylaw 18/2024, Part 6, Signage regulates the placement of signs on private property. The Planning and Development department is responsible for the issuance of development permits for signs and also conducts enforcement of any signage illegally placed on private property.
