St. Albert Innovation Summit
2017 Event Description
The City of St. Albert, and other communities like it, require strong innovation ecosystems to compete into the future and thrive in the digital information economy.
On June 28, 2017 the St. Albert Innovation Summit was held to bring business leaders, entrepreneurs, local officials, students, and other innovators together to share creative ideas and debate the opportunities and challenges that new technologies and business processes may bring. Creativity, inspiration, and collaboration are all key objectives.
Hosted by the City of St. Albert in collaboration with the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Alberta Business Incubator, and Athabasca University, the Innovation Summit offered a mix of keynote speakers, lightning talks, an expert panel discussion, and multiple networking and idea sharing opportunities. At the end of the Summit, attendees also generated ideas through a Business Roundtable discussion that confirmed several priorities into the future.
