The Owner seeks bids from Contractors (Bidders) to restore the historical character of the interior and exterior of the two buildings located in St. Albert, Alberta. The area of the renovation is expected to be a total of approximately 328 m2, with the Brosseau Granary at 144 m2 and the Chevigny House at 184 m2 which includes an expansion area of 8.6 m2. This includes renovation to existing building systems. Contractors (Bidders) are invited to obtain tender documents on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 which can be downloaded from the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) and from the Bid Works Electronic Plans Rooms website. Please be aware that it is the Bidders responsibility to obtain any and all addenda from the websites if the original contract documents are obtained from either the Alberta Purchasing Connection or Bid Works Electronic Plans Room. A mandatory pre-bid briefing for Contractors (Bidders) is scheduled for October 9, 2019 at 1:30pm (Mountain Daylight time) at the Alberta Heritage Sites, south of the Grain Elevator Park in St. Albert, Alberta. This will allow Contractors (Bidders) access to the Chevigny House and Brosseau Granary. Contractors (Bidders) are to meet at the Train Station & Visitor Centre located at 4 Meadowview Drive. Bidders are completely responsible for ensuring that their Bids reach the correct final location prior to the bid submission deadline. Ensure one hard copy of the Bid Forms, including Bid Bonds are signed under seal, executed, dated and are delivered in person. Fax, email and other non hard copy forms of bids or amendments WILL NOT be accepted. Bids will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight time on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
