What's Happening
Get ready to Laugh Out Loud when CBC Radio's hit stand-up comedy show comes to the Arden Theatre. Recording live for CBC, host Ali Hassan will present a mix of established, emerging and well-known comedians.
Ali Hassan is a Canadian Comedy Award nominee who has also performed across North America, the Middle East and in the UK. In his 15-year career as a stand-up comedian, Ali has performed several times with the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and Toronto. His set on Comedy Night in Canada recently aired on CBC television on CBC Gem. All three of his Winnipeg Comedy Festival sets have aired on CBC television. Ali took his solo show Muslim, Interrupted to Scotland to perform at the world's largest comedy festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show also ran at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and in over 30 cities across Canada, receiving accolades and an enormous amount of press coverage along the way.

Meet the Comedians!
Sean Lecomber
Sean is a CBC Debaters regular with 30 appearances on the show. He has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He filmed Just for Laughs galas in 2013 and 2020. Sean is the winner of the Just for Laughs homegrown competition awarded each year to Canada’s funniest new comedian. His other festival credits include 3 appearances at the Halifax comedy festival as well as the Winnipeg comedy festival in 2013 and 2016. He has written for this hour has 22 minutes and is a two time Canadian comedy award nominee. His work can also be heard on XM Radio.
Noah Brodeur
Noah is a comedian from the sheltered suburbs of Edmonton, Alberta. Audiences have described his act as " so dumb it's somehow smart" and "really nailing the 'nerdy-guy' thing," both real things people have said to his face. He thinks they were meant as compliments.
Faris Hytiaa
Born in Toronto to Sudanese parents and then raised in Alberta, Faris brings a unique mix of storytelling and observational humour to the stage. Known for his relaxed delivery and quick wit, his unpredictable style makes for big laughs and unforgettable crowd work moments. Regularly appearing at comedy clubs, Faris has been featured at Just For Laughs Vancouver, Sled Island 2022, and has toured all over Canada. Faris partnered with Telus STORYHIVE to film Telus' first ever comedy special, SEND HELP, released in February 2023. Faris is also featured on the Just For Laughs: Originals album, Substitute Teacher Energy, now playing on Sirius XM and available on all streaming platforms. In his first foray into acting, Faris played in the 2021 short film Open Mic at the Comedy Cabaret, which was selected and shown at the Calgary International Film Festival.
Brittany Lyseng
Brittany was the winner of the highly competitive 2024 Seattle International Comedy Competition. Born and raised in Calgary, Canada, Brittany Lyseng is a nationally touring comedian and has been seen on Just for Laughs, Roast Battles Canada, CBC Gem’s The New Wave of Stand up Comedy, CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters.
Natasha Lyn Myles
Natasha Lyn is an Edmonton-based stand-up comedian originally from the Maritimes. Her comedy focuses on stories from her life. When she isn’t performing or indulging in reality TV, you can find her selling natural deodorant at her job as a Health and Beauty Manager. She’s performed throughout Canada and has been featured at The Grindstone Comedy Festival in Edmonton and at Re-Set Fest where she hosted a series of shows called ‘Black Laughs Matter’ highlighting BIPOC standup. Sterling Scott
Sterling is from Scarborough Ontario, but is now based in Edmonton. He sas comedy found him after trying it during an open mic night after being rejected by the MuchMusic VJ search competition. Sterling has appeared on CBC Radio's Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters, and This Hour Has 22 Minutes. In 2017, he placed second on Canada's Got Talent. He was also a champion at the San Francisco Comedy Competition in 2019.
Dale Ward
Dale is a Calgary-based comedian and professional artist, who has opened for Bill Burr and Tom Segura. He’s also featured on a Just For Laughs live standup comedy album. He’s also big on Tiktok, with more than 470,000 followers and over 60 million views on his viral videos!
