John Calverley Duo
John Calverley is an active freelance violinist, improviser, session musician and instructor. Having studied violin under the guidance of Norman Nelson, he embraces both classical training and a relentless pursuit of musical diversity. His repertoire spans across genres. The John Calverely Duo blends hot swing, old-world charm and unstoppable groove as they deliver European Jazz Manouche, drawing from the Romani and Parisian jazz traditions of the 30s. This high-energy duo channels the spirit of Django Reinhard and Stéphane Grappelli and adds a fresh and joyful swing.
Tina Hartt

Known as the jazz singer with a French twist, Tina performs bilingual original songs, jazz standards and French chanson favorites including those by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, and Jacques Brel. Currently singing with the Ninth Avenue Big Band, she has also performed at venues around Calgary and has been featured at the Jazz YYC International Jazz Days Festival, the ProArts@noon Concert Series, the Cliff Bungalow Jazz Series, the Parkdale Performance Wednesday Night Jazz Series and in Edmonton at the Yardbird Suite and La Cité Francophone Patio Concert Series.
