What's Happening

This event is now sold out.

Struggling with grants? Arts Exchange is here to help! Whether you’re an artist looking for project support or an arts organization searching for program support, our Grants 101 workshop will set you up for success.

The workshop is located inside Forsythe Hall at the St. Albert Public Library and hosted by local improviser, sketch comedian and arts journalist, Paul Blinov. Come learn grant writing skills from the experts and get a crash course in finding and submitting grants straight from the funding organizations themselves.

Presenters include:

  • Anna Royer, Supervisor, Grants and Business Partnerships with the City of St. Albert: Anna has years of experience supporting not-for-profit organizations in their search for funding in our City and has processed a countless number of grants.
  • Jodie Vandekerkhove, Arts Development Consultant with the Alberta Foundation for the Arts: Jodie is a dance movement artist with over twenty-five years in the cultural sector, including working with various arts organizations as well and instructing movement classes all over Alberta. She’ll be joining us to discuss resources and funding available to them at the provincial level, in addition to how to improve your grant applications.
  • Sandra Fenton and Doug Campbell, longtime members of the St. Albert Community Foundation and the Rotary Club of St. Albert: Having both sat on various not-for-profit boards, including the St. Albert Cultivates the Arts Society, Sandra and Doug understand grant writing and the struggle that is finding funding for worthy causes. Together they will share the ways the St. Albert Community Foundation and the Rotary Club of St. Albert support individual artists and arts organizations in the community.

The event is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
