What's Happening

The City of St. Albert, in collaboration with the St. Albert-Sturgeon County Métis Local and Michif Cultural Connections, will hold a Métis Week Ceremony and Sharing Social in Progress Hall, St. Albert Place. Join Mayor Cathy Heron for the proclamation and raising of the Métis Nation flag. Following the ceremony, stay for the Sharing Social where you can learn about Métis culture, and speak with some of our Métis partners to learn about their programming and ongoing works with the City.

The Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) will be in effect for those attending the Métis Week Ceremony and Sharing Social as the health, safety and well-being of our residents and staff is a priority. Be prepared to provide the required vaccine documentation to meet  REP requirements (proof of full vaccination, negative COVID test within 72 hours of service or vaccine medical exception letter). Ensure to follow the provincial public health measures in effect the day of the event
