Twilight Time is an incredible, authentic tribute to The Platters and doo-wop. The Platters were one of the top vocal groups of the 1950s, selling 33 million records, and were among the first doo-wop groups to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
Twilight Time celebrates the soulful music of the The Platters and will take you back to the glory days of 1950s music, capturing their unique vocal style and their delicately balanced harmonies.
Twilight Time will be performing The Platters’ greatest hits of all times like Only You, The Great Pretender, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Harbour Lights, Twilight Time, My Prayer, and many more. They will also bring doo-wop era hits such as Earth Angel, Duke of Earl, Be My Baby, In the Still of the Night, Da Doo Ron Ron and many more.
The group is honoured to have the leadership of Geris Guanzon as their Music Director and keyboardist. Geris performed and toured with the Buck Ram Platters who was the original group formed in 1953, managed and produced by Buck Ram who wrote many of their top hits like The Great Pretender and Only You, based in Las Vegas, and featuring the legendary lead singer Monroe Powell. He also toured with Martha Robi’s Platters from 1995-2005, based in Los Angeles. Martha’s husband, baritone Paul Robi, was one of the members of the original Platters.
