What's Happening

Bylaw 2-2022 - On December 8, 2021, the Province of Alberta approved of the City of St. Albert’s annexation for lands previously contained within Sturgeon County.  On January 1, 2022, changes to the land boundary between the City of St. Albert and Sturgeon County occurred which transferred municipal jurisdiction of the subject lands from Sturgeon County to St. Albert. Due to this boundary change, the City must update  the City of St. Albert’s Land Use Bylaw.

Bylaw 2/2022 will amend the LUB by adding the two new Land Use Districts, the Transitional District and the Alternate Jurisdiction District.  It will also assign these and existing Land Use Districts to the newly annexed lands.  For additional details please review this Agenda Report related to this bylaw on the City'sAgendas, Minutes & Videos page
