What's Happening
Returning in the fall of 2026, the Art Gallery of St. Albert will be hosting poetry evenings, making space for local poets to gather and share work inspired by our exhibitions.
Canvas + Poetry nights will be hosted on a Thursday evening during each of our exhibitions. Poets visit the Gallery beforehand and write a piece in response to the artwork on display. Then, during Canvas + Poetry, poets will have the opportunity to share their words, surrounded by the artworks that inspired them.
Canvas + Poetry is a celebration of one artist inspiring another.
Note: Lauren Chipeur’s What on Earth is Holding the Loop Up? exhibition runs from September 3 to October 17, 2026.
