What's Happening
St. Albert-Sturgeon County Métis Local and Michif Cultural Connections, in collaboration with the City of St. Albert, will hold the Métis Week Proclamation and Flag Raising Ceremony at St. Albert Place.
The Ceremony will include greetings and remarks from Elders, the St. Albert-Sturgeon County Métis Local, Michif Cultural Connections other guests, and singing performance from Sir Alexander Mackenzie and École Father Jan schools. Mayor Cathy Heron will present the Metis Week Proclamation, followed by raising of the Métis Nation flag in honor of the Right Honorable Louis Riel, Métis storytelling, and fiddling jigging performances. Everyone is welcome.
