What's Happening

This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Legion’s Remembrance Day Ceremony is not open to the public. Attendance at the event is restricted to invited guests only, to reduce the possible spread of the virus.

To take part in the event, please tune into the Live Stream of the event on the St. Albert YouTube Channel.

Members of the public who wish to visit the Cenotaph on November 11 are asked to do so after the conclusion of the formal Remembrance Day Ceremony. If you do wish to visit the Cenotaph later in the day, please follow all provincial public health measures in place on the day of your visit.

Please consider these alternative ways to recognize Remembrance Day:

  • Continue to wear a poppy.
  • Watch the national service on television.
  • Stop at the 11th hour on November 11 for a two-minute moment of silence.
  • Make a donation to the Poppy Fund or the local Branch to continue to support the Legion or Veterans in need.
