January activities

Jan. 7: Grand Opening at the Clubhouse!
Join us for the grand opening and be part of something new! Check out our space, play some fun games, enjoy tasty snacks, and share your ideas on what activities you'd love to see in the future!

Jan. 8: Games Galore
Join us for an afternoon all about group games! Grab your friends (or make some new ones) and dive into challenges that will have everyone laughing and cheering.

Jan. 9: Neutral Ground
We'll have retro videogames, tabletop wargaming, and a craft table. Join us, have fun, make friends!

Neutral Ground runs free community events in St Albert, where people can take part in many types of hobbies and activities.  We welcome all ages and all groups, and we work hard to reduce physical, psychological, and economic barriers to entry.

Jan. 14 to Jan. 21: Clay, Create, and (self) Care
Get your hands messy and your creativity flowing as we make air-dry clay from scratch, shape unique vases, and paint them! We'll finish by planting something special in your masterpiece while exploring how plants (and you!) thrive with care and love.

Jan 22: Watercolor Wednesday
Want to try your hand at watercolor painting? Join us for a creative afternoon where you’ll learn the basics, experiment with colors, and create your own masterpiece to take home!

Jan. 23: Candles with Colleen
Participants will decorate candles that symbolize personal identities by incorporating colours, scents, and designs that represent their light. We will learn some emotional regulation strategies and learn how the brain works and why we “flip our lid” and how to come back to ourselves.

Jan. 28: The Science of Baking: Cookies
Want to know the science on how to bake the best chocolate cookie? Join us for an afternoon where we will discover the science behind baking the perfect cookie—and of course, tasting all of our tests too!

Jan. 29: Minute to Win It Challenge
Can you conquer the clock? Jump into exciting solo and group games that test your speed, skill, and creativity—all in under a minute!

Jan. 30: Slime Time
Ready to make some seriously cool slime? Come get creative and mix up a perfect batch of stretchy, gooey slime!
