Providing year-round artistic opportunities for students Grade 7 to age 21!
Amplify is in transition. Like any creative pursuit, sometimes you need to re-build, re-imagine and re-orient yourself towards new goals. And for Amplify, 2021 will be one of revisioning.
Covid-19 has changed the landscape of arts programming in all areas of our lives, and for the foreseeable future, Amplify will not be able to host it’s capstone event: the festival.
But there is and always has been so much more to Amplify than just a festival: we’ve published a book that sits in the Library and Archives of Canada, we created a podcast, we’ve hosted a fashion show, we’ve ran packed open mics, we’ve filled Kingswood Park with art and music for three years in a row at our evening art walk and so much more. There’s so much we can still do during these difficult times and so much we will do.
Please join us on this new journey as we shed the festival format and we simply become Amplify, with the simple goal of amplifying creativity, by providing year-round, youth-led programming for students Grade 7 to age 21.
