Amplify's Artist Alley: Summer Edition

Art Show, Workshops and Night Market!

Amplify is hosting its third annual art exhibition and craft market; however, this year we are celebrating the arts under the summer sun!  In an event that puts the art in heart, join us in supporting the work of young emerging visual artists from St. Albert and area. 

This event will rejoice in all things visual art--mixing a professional experience with the electric atmosphere of Amplify to showcase the best young artists in our City. Artist Alley will feature an artisan market and craft sale, dynamic live painting with Amplify's annual Art Battle and an inspiring mix of introductory visual art workshops. If you like visual art, this event will be right up your alley!

What's Happening

Art Exhibition:

Amplify's Art Exhibition will highlight the work of the City's young visual artists. This year the Amplify Committee has selected the theme of "retro" to provide a catalyst for creativity for our visual artists. 

Dates:  July 4 to July 9, 2026
Location: St. Albert Place lobby
Theme: Retro
Artist age restriction: Grade seven to age 21.
Reception: July 4, 2026 from 5 pm to 6 pm

Artist Alley Market Ft. Live Music and Amplify's Annual Art Battle:

Our third annual craft market specifically highlights young vendors Grade 7 to age 25. Helping young artisans get a leg up in the market scene, we will have over 25 vendors selling everything from stickers and keychains, to jewelry and stuffies, to pottery and fine art prints. (Craft items do not have to meet the theme of "retro." That's just for the art exhibition.)

We will also be looking for visual artists to participate in Amplify's 9th annual Art Battle and young musicians to join us during the market to add live music and enliven the atmosphere.

Vendor age restriction: Grade seven to age 25.
Musician age restriction: Grade seven to age 21.

Visual Art Workshops, for youth, Grade 7 to age 21:

Amplify is all about getting St. Albert's young residents participating in the arts, so of course, our Artist Alley has to feature some hands-on workshops and activities. During our craft market and our Art Exhibition reception, Amplify will host engaging, beginner level visual art classes for young residents in Grade seven to age 21.
