Welcome to our list of workshops for this year's Artist Alley! Here you will find an assortment of visual art classes, specifically created to engage those who are either a) just starting out on their creative journey or b) want to try an art form or craft they've never tried before. That's all to say, our workshops will be beginner-friendly and focused on fun!

Registration is required for each workshop.

Cost: $10, including fees. 
Location: All classes will take place in St. Albert Place, 5 St. Anne Street
Age restriction: Our workshops are specifically for youth in Grade 7 to age 21.

Pottery Coil BUilding 

Peak into the St. Albert Place pottery studio and try your hand at creating a simple coil-built pot. Our instructor will guide participants through creating and decorating their clay project step-by-step and encourage creativity along the way. This introductory workshop will spark curiosity in the power of pottery and what you can build with your very own hands. In association with the Art Gallery of St. Albert.

Hours: 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Location: St. Albert Place, Painting Studio 
Age Restriction: Grade 7 to age 21

Paint Party

Join Kaylee Rose Creative as she takes you through creating a dreamy original artwork! In this beginner friendly, no experience necessary workshop Kaylee will focus on everyone's unique learning patterns and individualistic style. Her events are about being kind to yourself while also having a lot of fun and letting go of exterior and internal judgment.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: St. Albert Place, Multi-Craft Studio.
Age Restriction: Grade 7 to age 21

Woodland Gnome Arrangement

Create your own friendly neighbourhood gnome in time for the holidays! This group workshop offers participants a fun and informative way to learn the art of floral design. In a welcoming environment, these workshops provide a wealth of knowledge on crafting beautiful bouquets and designs within the floral arts. A knowledgeable instructor will be there every step of the way to answer any questions you have and lead the way to creating a masterpiece.

Hours: 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: St. Albert Place, Quilting Studio
Age Restriction: Grade 7 to age 21
